…a prayer for the day

Christ Jesus, even when we can feel nothing of your presence, you are always there. Your Holy Spirit remains continually active in us, opening little ways forward to escape from our dead ends and to move towards the essential of faith, of trust.

A Lenten Thought #10

“It is great wisdom to know how to be silent and to look at neither the remarks, nor the deeds, nor the lives of others.”

 –St. John of the Cross

What great wisdom we can all gain by living our lives with the goal of personal holiness. It is neither our calling or ability to “take on the world”. It is our calling to seek a closer unity with God,our creator.
