I know that this is not my normal type of writing or sharing, but I think it is well worth our attention.

If you’re thinking about looking for a new church home, please don’t use one of these five reasons to make the jump:
1. “I’M NOT BEING FED”
Your primary call in the church is to contribute, not just to consume.
2. “IT’S GETTING TOO BIG”
3. “I DON’T AGREE WITH EVERYTHING THAT IS BEING PREACHED”
4. “MY NEEDS AREN’T BEING MET”
The church doesn’t exist to meet your needs. You are a part of the church that exists to meet the needs of the world.
5. UNRESOLVED CONFLICT
As one who is searching for a new church home, this was a good read for me. None of these were my reason. (Phew!) Mine was far simpler: I can’t honestly say I stand and profess all that my church believes and teaches to be true. It’s hypocritical to stay. I don’t see the inclusivity of Jesus where I am and I can’t stand for that.
Inclusivity is a very illusive trait in most churches. This quality begins with a true understanding of grace. There is a saying, maybe trite, ‘become the change you want to see.’ Blessings, Irvin
Very true. Gandhi’s admonition is hardly trite, just hard to pull off. Peace, Chris
Maybe the better to put it would be: overused and under applied.
So true. Sadly it’s like most of the gospel teachings. It sounds nice to talk about but living it is a whole other story.
