Day Two

To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.

O my God, in you I trust;

   do not let me be put to shame;

   do not let my enemies exult over me.

Do not let those who wait for you be put to shame;

   let them be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous.

Lord, We all fear shame in our lives. Shame can cause us to make many mistakes. Lord, I confess my sins and ask you to remove my shame. Renew me in the bosom of your love and grace. Help me to find a way forward in difficult times. I know that you are gracious and merciful and can make this happen.
